The top and backs of any Boulder Creek instrument are solid  with sides laminated for durability and strength. The acoustic EBR3-N4F also uses the same features like every other guitar from the family of Boulder Creek with a solid body and uses SBS (Suspended Bracing System). Instead of the conventional X braces, the SBS uses a couple of braces in aluminum. These parallel braces are fixed on three different points below the top of the guitar  and is suspended in a way similar to the racks for keeping towels. Due to this fixture, the top vibrates without any restriction and the projection is far more improvised. The top has a half-dollar sized sound hole with an oval shaped port at the side. This improves the response of the bass dramatically. Providing the user with the right control on pitch, the fingerboard of this acoustic fretless guitar is made of rosewood.
